Much Ado About Something

The second ‘book’ my high school Omnibus class read this year was actually Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Some of my students were able to see the play performed in Staunton, VA at the American Shakespeare Center’s replica of the Blackfriar Playhouse. All of my students memorized Benedict’s famous Act 2, Scene 3 speech because, of course, the play was intended to be seen and heard. Paul St. Jean gave the most memorable performance.
